Every since

I was a little girl, I loved food. Not saying im fat because I am far from that(HEY THAT RHYMED) but I would consider eating as one of my hobbies. When growing up my family would always cook Southern dishes such as eggplant, fried catfish and jumbo but my dad was the person who introduced my brother and I to different dishes of the world. My dad is Cuban so he took my brother and I to a few Cuban and Puerto Rican restaurants

in town. Cuba Cafe is one of the few Cuban restaurants in town, that serves good Cuban food. I usually get my usual, limonada, maduros(fried bananas) a sandwich Cubano (Cuban sandwich) or Arroz con mariscos(seafood with rice). Dominican and Puerto Rican is quite similar to Cuban food. I have J

amaican friends and every time I go to their house (meaning every weekend) there parents always have good food. Their parents make jerk chicken. My dad's past birthday, we went to an Indian cuisine restaurant called Bollywood. I had tandoori chicken and basmati rice but my brother and dad had chicken masala(Indian gumbo) ,chicken tika and naan (Indian bread) with

chutney(jam). One of my mom's favorite Japanese restaurant in town is called Nozomi. Nozomi had really good Japanese food. I always get the tampora California rolls, shrimp wraps and teriyaki steak and chicken and miso soup. I love trying new foods and if these cuisines some YUMMY to you go check them out!!!!!!!!
Being Cuban myself, I can't get enough of the food. I sure could go for a Cuban sandwich right now. When I get a chance, I'll have to check out some of your restaurant recommendations. I always enjoying trying new foods.
ReplyDeleteBeing of Puerto Rican decent myself I do tend to fiind myself enjoy cuban food as well. Considering that Cafe Cuba is probably the closest thing we have here in town to PR food. By the way you forgot pan de cuba (cuban bread). Although I must admit central american food has been making a good impression on me lately. Mainly thanks to my mexican/salvadorian/guatamalan friends. If you get the chance try it. Especially the Salvadoria pupusas.
